Beauty Tips And Tricks From Miss Universe 2017

Manila, Philippines—It could just as well be a holiday in the Philippine capital where beauty pageants are considered a national sport. When it was made official that this year’s Miss Universe Competition was to be held in the country, the pageant was all that anyone could ever talk about this side of the planet.

It is a few hours before the live telecast of Miss Universe 2017 and soon, a new queen will be crowned. The preliminaries are over and at this point, it is anyone’s game. There will be nerves, excitement and anticipation backstage as contestants are being glammed up by the team of makeup experts from MAC Cosmetics.

Resident artist trainer, Jaycee Matias, reveals how the contestants were made up for the competition. She also shares tips and expert hacks that create a face worthy of a crown.

PREP THE SKIN. “Make sure skin is moisturized and hydrated. You can start by using an oil-free, hydrating moisturizer and an oil absorbing primer.
