REVLON COLORSTAY AQUA MINERAL MAKEUP

REVLON COLORSTAY AQUA MINERAL MAKEUP

The finish of this foundation is very similar to Revlon Photoready foundation with the little pieces of shimmer in it and offers light coverage. Why does it look like powder and then feel wet when it comes in contact with the skin? Revlon should have just formulated it as a liquid! The problem I have with this is that when you are working with powder, you should use it a little bit at a time because if you don't it flys off your brush during application and gets EVERYWHERE. So if you do use a small amount at once, it only covers a tiny area of the face with each brush stroke as it comes in contact with your skin because it gets wet. Sadly, you cannot build up layers for more coverage without the cakeyness. This can also be quite time consuming, and not my ideal method of foundation application. I guess this foundation would be good for someone with dry skin looking for something that won't cake up. It wore off my skin after 3 hours!! The bristles of the brush actually aren't too bad, but it's difficult to clean inside the plastic case making it a little unhygenic, and it can't function properly without sliding back into it's case while in use. Not particularly a fan of this product but I will make use of it some way or another! It's really up to you and whether or not you want to pay for a foundation for $12 that barely provides any coverage, just sparkles, and is extremely difficult and time consuming to blend. I can't wait for Revlon to discontinue this one and create a new mineral foundation for their fantastic ColorStay line. Lets hope they will!! You can find this here. (Wow, what a poor color selection...lol)
